Baumot Group is a leading supplier in the area of exhaust gas aftertreatment. In that context, BG offers its customers first class Research & Develelopment and Testing & Validation Services for clean air solutions.
Baumot Group applies those products and services across a wide range of industries in the business fields OEM (original equipment), retrofitting and aftermarket (repair, spare parts).
In so doing, it covers the entire value creation chain for the exhaust gas aftertreatment sector. The market segments include, in particular, on-road (e.g. cars, trucks and other commercial vehicles), off-road (e.g. construction machinery, agricultural machinery or stationary plant) and miscellaneous applications such as maritime.
With around 80 employees in all, the Baumot Group comprises Baumot Group AG as a publicly traded technology holding company, as well as three subsidiaries. Each of the subsidiaries has different areas of expertise in specific business fields and industries.
This way, the Baumot Group not only meets the specific requirements of the target industries but also covers a variety of solutions in the field of exhaust aftertreatment and engine developement.
With the BNOx system, the Baumot Group offers a retrofit solution that lowers nitrogen oxides by more than 90% under real conditions (RDE). The emission values it achieves under real conditions in retrofitted vehicles of pollution class EURO 4 and higher are better than those of the current EURO 6 category. In future, this would enable you to qualify your vehicle for the blue sticker and gain access to "blue zones".

VW Passat Retrofit
As with the existing green sticker for EURO 4 vehicles, only vehicles that satisfy the EURO 6 standard will obtain the blue sticker. Older vehicles with the blue sticker will still be able to enter designated blue zones in cities and municipalities if they are upgraded to the EURO 6 values with a retrofit solution such as the BNOx system. The introduction of blue stickers and their requirements are currently under discussion at the federal level in Germany. If the blue sticker is introduced, it would offer owners of older model vehicles a way to minimise their loss in value and to maintain their mobility while preserving the environment at the same time.
